Example of Roll-Over LinksOpposed to basic words, roll-over links use IMAGES to create links to other web pages. Image links look better (on some sites) than simple text links, and they provide a more custom "appearance" when used on web sites. Unlike text links that have up to three potential phases (unvisited, visited, or active/hover), roll over links have only 2 potential phases: Normal (untouched by user's cursor) or Roll-Over (images changes when user moves their cursor over the link). In the example below, the link in is a Normal phase until you move your cursor over the link. |
